A driver who explains each place
The most common complaint about Ziyarat tours in Makkah is a driver who rushes from place to place and says nothing. Our drivers explain the history of each place on the way, in Urdu, English or Arabic, and give you time to pray and make dua. Tell us your language when you book. Families with children and elderly parents can go at their own pace, because the car is yours for the whole tour.
How to plan your Makkah Ziyarat
- Go early. After Fajr the roads are quiet and the weather is cooler. After Asr is the next best time.
- Hajj season. Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina are part of Hajj. Around Hajj, roads are closed or very busy, so book your Ziyarat before or after.
- Climbing. The Cave of Hira and the Cave of Thawr need a steep climb. Wear good shoes, take water, and tell us before the day so we plan the time.
- Another Umrah. If you want to enter ihram for another Umrah, ask the driver to finish at Masjid Aisha (Al-Taneem).
- Remember the purpose. Ziyarat is not part of Umrah or Hajj. Most pilgrims go to learn the history of Islam. For questions about worship at these places, ask your scholar.
How to book in 3 steps
- Send us your details on WhatsApp. Date, hotel, number of passengers and your language.
- Get your price and pickup time. We reply with one fixed price for your car, and before pickup we send the driver's name and car number.
- Enjoy the tour. Your driver collects you at the hotel, explains each place and brings you back. You pay after the tour.
Ziyarat taxi or Makkah Ziyarat bus?
| Option | Good for | Keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Private taxi (us) | Families, elderly pilgrims, groups who want their own pace | Hotel pickup, stops when you want, a driver who explains. One price for the whole car. |
| Ziyarat bus | Solo travellers on a small budget | Cheaper per person, but a fixed route and time, shared with strangers, and less time at each place. |

- Booking passed to a stranger. You book directly with our team, and we send the driver's name and car number before pickup.

Questions pilgrims ask
How much is a Makkah Ziyarat taxi?
A private Makkah Ziyarat taxi starts from SAR 200 per car in a Toyota Camry for up to 4 passengers. A Hyundai Staria starts from SAR 250, a Toyota HiAce from SAR 300, a GMC Yukon XL from SAR 350 and a Toyota Coaster from SAR 550. The price is per car, not per person, for a tour of up to 3 hours.
How long does a Makkah Ziyarat tour take?
Our Makkah Ziyarat tour takes up to 3 hours, from pickup at your hotel to drop-off back at your hotel. If you want to climb Jabal al-Nour or Jabal Thawr, tell us before the day, because the climb takes extra time.
Which places are included in the Makkah Ziyarat tour?
Jabal Thawr, Arafat and Jabal al-Rahmah, Masjid Namirah, the Canal of Zubaidah, Muzdalifah and Masjid al-Mash'ar al-Haram, Mina, Wadi Muhassir, the Jamarat, Masjid al-Khayf, Jabal al-Nour (Cave of Hira), Jannat al-Mu'alla, Masjid al-Jinn, Masjid al-Shajarah and Masjid al-Fath. Some places are seen from the car, and at others you can step out.
Does the driver explain the places?
Yes. Our drivers explain the history of each place on the way, in Urdu, English or Arabic. Tell us which language you prefer when you book.
Can we stop at Masjid Aisha for ihram for another Umrah?
Yes. Tell us when you book, and the driver can take you to Masjid Aisha (Al-Taneem) to enter ihram. It is the nearest Miqat for people in Makkah.
Can we climb the Cave of Hira or the Cave of Thawr?
You can. The climb to the Cave of Hira takes from 30 minutes to a few hours, and to the Cave of Thawr about 1.5 hours. A climb does not fit inside a 3-hour tour, so tell us before the day and we agree the timing and price.
What is the best time for a Makkah Ziyarat tour?
Early morning after Fajr is the most comfortable time, before the heat and traffic. Late afternoon after Asr also works well. Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina are closed or very busy in Hajj season.
Is a taxi better than the Makkah Ziyarat bus?
A bus is cheaper per person, but it follows a fixed route and time and you share it with strangers. A private taxi picks you up at your hotel, goes at your pace, stops when you want to pray or make dua, and the price is for the whole car.
Will the driver pick us up from our hotel?
Yes. We pick you up at your hotel in Makkah, including hotels near the Haram, Jabal Omar, Ajyad, Misfalah, Kudai and Aziziyah, and drop you back at the end. Where roads near the Haram are closed, we agree the nearest point on WhatsApp.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
You pay in cash after the tour, in Saudi riyals or US dollars, with no deposit and no card payments. Cancellation is free up to 12 hours before your pickup time.
Are you the official Makkah Taxi?
No. Al Haram Cabs is an independent private taxi company based in Makkah. You book directly with our team on WhatsApp.
